Guns N’Hoses

I’m excited to announce the first show of my coverband, Guns N’Hoses! 

This project has been a dream that is coming into fruition and I am lucky to have the opportunity to work with some AMAZING female musicians who are not only musically incredibly talented, but also just super fun and awesome people.  Just the hang outs are getting my abs in shape from laughing so much.  It’s super rad.

sarazucker: this afternoon, i got an email from a friend about a new line of jewelry that i just couldn’t keep to myself: pound. created by a mother, her two daughters and a close friend, pound is colorful, quirky, and pretty affordable for such eye-catching wares.

fuckyeahfluiddynamics: Last week, Birmingham, Alabama got treated to a special cloudy day, thanks to some Kelvin-Helmholtz waves, shown above. When a layer of faster moving fluid shears a slower moving fluid, this instability can form and cause some spectacular mixing. In this case, the lower, slower fluid was cool and moist enough to contain clouds, enabling us to see the effect with the naked eye. The same mechanism is responsible for the shape of breaking ocean waves and can even be seen in the atmospheres of gas giants like Saturn and Jupiter. (submitted by David B)
